When equipment needs to be protected from cold and freezing, but does not have an inner heat source, a Fit Tight Cover can be fabricated with electrical heating components included.  This type of cover avoids the cost of heat tracing the item, hiring an electrician, or installing a thermostat.  As with all Fit Tight Covers, a cover with electrical heating components can be easily installed, removed, and re-installed as needed.  In warmer temperatures, the cover can simply be removed and stored until colder temperatures return.  Besides saving energy and protecting your equipment, the cost of a cover fabricated with electrical heating components is significantly less than normal field alternatives to prevent freezing.

Removable cover designed to maintain 85°F

Beyond just the electric trace, we can also manufacture Fit Tight Covers with heating components capable of maintaining a certain process temperature.  The photograph above shows a removable insulation cover for a natural gas analyzer with a silicone laminated heater designed to maintain 85°F.
